Welcome to Ward Games — a free online arcade packed with 25+ browser games you can play right now, on any device, without downloading anything. Whether you stumbled here from a search or a friend sent you a link, this guide will walk you through everything the site has to offer so you can start having fun in seconds.

Playing Your First Game

Getting started couldn't be simpler. Browse the homepage to see every game in our library, or use the category tabs at the top — Arcade, Puzzle, Strategy, Tycoon, Multiplayer, and Kids — to narrow things down. Click any game card and you're playing immediately. No sign-up, no loading screens, no app installs. Every game loads inside your browser and is optimized for both mouse/keyboard and touch.

If you're not sure where to start, here are a few crowd favorites:

• 1024 + 1024 — slide numbered tiles to merge and reach the highest tile. Simple to learn, addictive to master.
• Snek — the classic arcade game. Eat food, grow longer, don't crash.
• Sudoku — number-placement puzzles in four difficulty levels with pencil marks and hints.
• Cookie Factory — an idle/clicker game where you build a cookie empire with buildings and upgrades.

Searching and Filtering

The search bar in the navigation lets you find games instantly. Start typing a game name, tag, or category and you'll see matching suggestions appear. Click a suggestion to jump straight to that game. You can also browse by category — each category page shows all games tagged with that genre, along with a description of what to expect.

Creating an Account

You never need an account to play, but creating one unlocks several features that make the experience better:

• Global leaderboards — your high scores are submitted to leaderboards where you compete with players worldwide. Each game has a top-20 board with medals for the top three.
• Cloud saves — resume your game on a different device. Nine games support save and resume, and logged-in players get a "Save & Quit" button to store progress in the cloud.
• Friends — search for other players, send friend requests, and see each other's profiles and stats.
• Custom profile — pick a display name, choose an avatar icon and color, and write a bio.

Signing up takes under a minute. Head to Sign Up, enter a username, email, and password, then confirm with the six-digit code sent to your email. That's it — you're in.

Installing the PWA

Ward Games is a Progressive Web App, which means you can install it to your home screen and it behaves like a native app — with its own icon, instant loading, and offline support. On Chrome, look for the install icon in the address bar or use the menu. On Safari (iOS), tap Share → Add to Home Screen. Once installed, you can play many games even without an internet connection, which is perfect for flights and commutes.

Tracking Your Progress

Every game tracks your personal best score in your browser, even without an account. Signed-in players also get a "My Stats" section on their profile page showing high scores and play time for every game. The homepage displays a "My Stats" pill when you're logged in — click it for a quick overview of your gaming history.

Play time is tracked automatically. You can see how long you've spent in each game and your total time across all games. It's a fun way to see where your time goes — and a little humbling when you realize how many hours you've put into Cookie Factory.

Daily Challenges

Two of our games refresh with a new puzzle every day:

• Unquote — decode a scrambled famous quote by cracking the letter substitution cipher. Track your daily solving streak.
• Lexicon — guess the five-letter word in six tries with color-coded feedback, Wordle-style. Share your results with friends.

New puzzles drop at 1 AM Central each day. Come back daily to keep your streak alive!

Playing with Friends

Four games support online multiplayer: Chess, Checkers, Hex Empire, and Connect Four. Select "Play Online" in any of these games to create a room and get a shareable link.
